New season starts on February 9 @GoPlanet

With the round 1 of division B championship on February 9 at GoPlanet karting track starts the new Openkart season. This will be 6th year running of amateur competition. Elite division will start the season fortnight later on February 23. Last year Zintis Grandbergs and Ivars Strencis took the titles in Elite division and division B. 118 drivers took part in division B races and 54 in ELites division. In total the season lasted from February up until the end of november with 35 races.

The Cup is won by Andris Ornins

Andris Ornins won the traditional Cup race held on new indoor track OpenkartCity on January 13th. Only best of the best could qualify for the event as TOP 12 ELites division and TOP 8 division B drivers can take part. Runner-up Daniels Mancinskis lost only 0,02 seconds to leader. Winner of the previous year Lauris Rozenvalds took 3rd spot. Division B champion Ivars Strencis came home in 4th, but ELites division champion Zintis Grandbergs finished only in 8th spot.
